My new piece, Which Way?, tells the story of my husband's struggle with back surgery last year, and a return for a second surgery this past spring. Finally, the road upward to recovery.
It is constructed in eight sections, utilizing my hand-dyed cottons, discharged black fabric, silk and a burlap-like linen. After all pieces were quilted and faced, they were combined into one construction at the top.
Last week it won a ribbon for Best Design at the Mountain Art Quilters fall reveal. It will be show in January at 48 Natoma Gallery in Folsom, CA.
